Winny, who moved to CA after two decades of living in Chicago, is originally from Shanghai, China. Her background includes industrial design, 2d/3d animation, photography, and filmmaking. Prior to coming to Stanford Video, she worked and taught at DePaul University, led the video team at University of Illinois at Chicago, worked at a few advertise agencies, and WGN TV Chicago. She shoots, produces, edits, and is a certified drone pilot.

Fun fact about Winny: on top of her 3 master’s degrees, she did improv training at The Second City Chicago and has also performed stand-up comedy at Zanies in Chicago.
