Thinking Big About Learning Symposium

The Thinking Big symposium was streamed live to the world later edited and posted to YouTube in celebration of Stanford’s 125th anniversary.  These TED style talks brought together Stanford’s leaders from fields as diverse as psychology, computer science, education, physics and the humanities.

Petra Dierkes-Thrun, director of interdisciplinary teaching and learning in Stanford’s Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning and Sebastian Thrun, a research professor in the Department of Computer Science at Stanford, talk about the marriage of computer science and humanities in a class that they co-taught together.
